Let the summer begin!!

This summer since Chad has some time before going back to the grind we decided that we were going to do something fun every night and then something fun every weekend! We wanted to visit Pella, Iowa; Kansas City, Missouri/Kansas; Omaha, Nebraska; Chicago, Illinois; and Minneapolis, Minnesota (just to name a few)!

We kicked off our summer with Lincoln's first dip in the pool. He didn't cry, he wasn't excited, he didn't laugh, he didn't react at all. He just was very somber and seemed to just enjoy sitting in the water. 

Next we went for a bike ride. There are tons of trails all over Des Moines, so we've been biking a few times. But to take Lincoln we have to jimmy rig his car seat in the buggy which works perfect (thanks mom and dad for that purchase)! Lincoln enjoyed watched everything and was awake for almost the whole entire time!

We even figured out how to take Kort with us without having a basket for him! He just goes in the back of the buggy!

We took him to the water park for the first time as well. Again no reaction to the water but he loved to watch the people! We floated around the lazy river and Lincoln seemed to enjoy that! It was a lot of fun!

We go on daily walks! Sometimes we are joined by our friends and sometimes in beautiful wooded areas!

We decided to try out frisbee golf for the first time really for both of us. We went out and got a couple frisbees made for frisbee golf and tried it out! It was a lot of fun but we are both still learning so it takes us a long time to get through a course! It is definitely something we will do again!

This summer has been so fun already and there is more fun to be had! We have already visited a couple places out of the many places we wanted to visit and it has been a blast!

Another thing we have to look forward to this summer, which isn't as fun as we would like, is moving! We got into some Townhomes that are government subsidized and so they are a TON cheaper than what we are paying right now! I am excited because they are 4 bedrooms and have a 2 car garage attached! This means to me a space for Chad and I, a space for Lincoln, a space for Chad's office, and a space for the spare bedroom! It will be so nice!
