We of course visited the bakeries there and got as many items as we wanted to try. They did not disappoint! Each pastery was so delicious in its own way!

Pella, Iowa - the Dutch City
We had heard a ton of things about a city in Iowa called Pella. This is also the place where Pella Windows and Doors headquarters is. This city is very small and has tons of windmills. It was founded by the Dutch and so it is pure Dutch. There are places to get the little wooded shoes, places to get amazing Dutch bakery items, and there are a couple museums that you can tour about the city and famous people who lived there!
Kansas City, Missouri/Kansas!
We wanted to go to Kansas City and get some good Kansas City barbecue! So we got a hotel room, packed an over night bag, and got everyone in the car and headed to Kansas City!
On the way there we decided to stop at one of the church history sites. We stopped at Liberty Jail. It was so cool to learn about what happened there and the history of the jail after. It was interesting to see what the place Joseph Smith spent a lot of time at looked like.
We had finally made it to Kansas City! We decided we would drive around for a little bit before! The city was so cool an had tons of graffiti art! I believe this wasn't technically graffiti art but it looked pretty cool!
We found our hotel and got ready to head out to dinner. Just before we were going to head out a huge thunderstorm let loose. It was pretty much raining sideways so we hoped that it wouldn't last so we could actually do something in Kansas City!
The weather let up and we headed out to get some famous Kansas City barbecue! When we got there the storm had knocked out power so we decided to go to a place called the Crown Center Plaza! There we found some really cool stores. Like the Crayola store!
And a really good chocolate store!
Lego land is also at this plaza but we decided to go to the aquarium instead! The aquarium was amazing! We all loved the set up and how it kept you interested the whole way! Even Lincoln was awake through the whole thing and was loving all of the new things he was seeing. There was also a touch pool which was way cool! I definitely thought star fish felt different!
After the aquarium we went to dinner at Jack Stack, one of the best barbecue places ever! It was amazing and I had never tasted such good barbecue! They definitely know how to do barbecue!
The next day we got up and went to a place called Country Club Plaza! There we ate lunch at Potbelly Sandwiches, walled around to see all the stores and how big the place is, and got a picture by a couple fountains!
We definitely enjoyed ourselves and couldn't wait for our next adventure!
