These pictures were taken in the desert exhibit!
We wanted to see the shark feeding in the aquarium but there were so many people in that small building we didn't get very far! But we did see these massive crabs and got a picture of them!
We went to the wildlife show and got to see a macaw that loved to flip upside down so he could get treats. We also so a couple other animals including a porcupine!
We got to see baby lion cubs in the car exhibits and a white tiger! The cubs were so cute and it was so cool to see a white tiger! One of the tigers was sitting there being noisy!
Next we went to the orangutan and gorilla exhibit! There was one orangutan that was sitting on the fence with its arm through the chain link motioning for people to throw it stuff! It was so funny to watch it demand things from the people watching it!
The gorillas were really cool! There were quite a few of them. A couple of them just sat by the glass looking at all the people watching them. One gorilla didn't seem too happy and stared down all the people on the other side of the glass and hit the glass a couple times! Another gorilla pounded its chest like you see in the movies. That's was pretty cool to see that!
Next we saw the lemur/Madagascar exhibit! There was a really cool part where you could walk through the actual lemur habitat and one lemur cam within a foot of us! Chad got a little bit of it on video! It was fun to be in there with them but unfortunately we couldn't touch them!
We watched some monkeys trying to get pieces of bread and food from the people on the bridge! They would demand it as well and they would fight the fish for the food and grab and push the fish out of the way!
After about 4 and a half hours of the zoo we finally left and headed out for dinner. Lincoln was so good at the zoo! I was so impressed because he only took about a half hour nap!
For dinner we went to a cool area of Omaha (thanks to Melissa Young for telling us about it)! It is called Old Market and there are a ton of cool shops and restaurants there! We ate at Zio's Pizzeria which was really good and then after went to Ted and Wally's Homemade Ice Cream Shop! The ice cream was definitely homemade and very delicious!
It was a very fun trip! We definitely enjoy our little adventures we have been having and love to share our good times with family and friends!
(A great big thanks to our friend Sandra for taking care of our baby Kort for the day so he wasn't alone all day!)
