The night before the fourth we went to one of the local parades. Lincoln loved to people watch and Chad and I had fun watching Nate (one of our friends) help his kids get candy! (Of course we also enjoyed the parade itself!) This parade definitely was a smaller parade than we are used to (yes it was even smaller than Heber's parade). But it was still very fun!
The actual day of the fourth was spent differently for us as well. We didn't go swimming, we didn't go do anything really fun, we just went about our normal day activities. First thing we watched a little Grey's Anatomy and then went on a walk as a family! After that Chad headed out to the garage to work on the jeep (he's such a little mechanic)! I stayed inside and took care of Lincoln and continued to pack up the house for our move that is coming up on Monday.
After our long day of physical labor we were finally ready to go out. We went and got some orange leaf yogurt which did not disappoint (probably the best I've ever had). Then we headed off to the park to have some fun with friends and watch the fireworks! While waiting for the fireworks the girls chatted while the babies played and the men threw the football. When it got darker Nate Canova pointed out the fireflies!! It was so cool to see them because I had never seen them! All the guys and the two older kids went down to catch them and came back with a whole cup of them! I got a few cool pics!
Then it was time for the fireworks! It was so cool because we were sitting pretty close to where they were shooting them off but there was a little bit of a breeze so they were going off pretty much right above us! We were a little worried that Lincoln was going to cry but he actually really liked them. He was watching them go off and didn't mind the loud noises! We had a really good time and it was fun to be with some of our friends!
