Iowa State Fair and the Annual Corn Festival

Wow! What a summer! I am so grateful for the time Lincoln and I were able to spend with Chad this summer and all of the extremely fun memories we were able to make as a family! I feel very blessed and also feel like I may not top this summer for a long time!

Chad started school the middle of July and has been going full boar ever since. He is back to being in his "cave" for most of the hours in the day. I do enjoy the time we get him for some lunches and every dinner!

I managed to steal him away from his studies to go to the state fair and the corn festival (even if that meant sacrificing our Sunday time so he could catch back up with studying)! Well worth it!

We went to the fair with our friends BJ and Alli and their son Liam! It was so much fun and we were able to enjoy the festivities the fair had to offer in good company! We got some chocolate dipped goodness (chocolate dipped canoli)! And also some deep fried goodness!

We saw the huge elk again!

Baby Alpaca!

Got us some shakes from a popular ice cream place!

Took a picture together in front of one of the biggest pumpkins!

We saw the butter cow and all of the different butter sculptures that people display. It is amazing how talented people are.

We took a break and Liam played in the water! Chad tried to get a reaction out of Lincoln but nothing!

We saw some wood carvings that are done with a chainsaw! So cool!

It was so much fun just hanging out and enjoying the company of friends in a fun place!

The day after we went to the state fair we went to the Annual Corn Festival. We got free corn that was delicious and hung out with our friends Dan, Chelsea, and their son Jameson! I didn't take pictures at this event but it was pretty fun as well.

I did manage to get a picture of our cute boys chillin in their strollers!
